Jeff Hellam of Hellam’s Vineyard Wine Shop and Wine Bar in LaConner has announced this 2018 Summer Winemaker Dinner Cruise schedule:

JULY
The July “Taste of Walla Walla” dinner cruise will feature three “young gun” superstar winemakers including Cameron Kontos of Kontos Cellars, Justin Basel of Solemn Cellars (formerly of Basel Cellars fame) and Greg Matiko of Skylite Cellars on Saturday, July 28th. This is a fully catered dinner cruise with wine, appetizers and dessert included. The main course includes salmon and prime rib. The voyage departs from Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes on the venerable Mystic Sea, a 100′ whale-watching boat with stories and expertise courtesy of Capt. Monte!

This is a fantastic scenic cruise through the San Juan Islands (and possibly Deception Pass) abundant with wildlife and spectacular scenery, and if we’re lucky we’ll see an orca whale or two. A chartered bus will pick you up at Hellams Vineyard in La Conner at 5 p.m.(please check in to the shop no later than 4:15 p.m.) We’ll then head over to the Mystic Sea, a 100′ boat based out of Anacortes at Cap Sante Marina, board and depart at 6 p.m. The boat will return to dock at 9 p.m., and you’ll then be chartered back to La Conner right out front of the wine shop. All three winemakers will be pouring at the shop from 1 – 4 p.m. before departing for the boat. Cost is $139 per person; ($149 non-club) (+ tax). RSVP is required by calling the shop at 360.466.1758. There is a 10-day, non-refundable cancellation policy in effect for this trip.

AUGUST
The August cruise will feature the “Taste of Woodinville”, our annual Dungeness Crab Feed featuring ringleader Tim Stevens of Stevens Cellars, Mari Womack of Damsel Cellars and Darby English of Darby Cellars on Saturday, August 18th. Several side dishes including pasta and salad will be included along with all-you-can-eat Dungness Crab, and of course appetizers and dessert.
