WIT Cellars Purchases Gamache Vintners Location

[Prosser, Washington] WIT Cellars is bringing all of its operations under one roof, after five years of storing barrels at another winery and blending its wine offsite. Owners Flint Nelson, Gina Adams, and Cat Warwick are excited to announce their purchase of a four-acre property located at 505 Cabernet Court in Prosser.

“This has been a dream of ours for the last couple of years,” said the WIT team. “We were looking to build in the Vintner’s Village area, and when the opportunity to purchase the Gamache Vintners location come up, we jumped on it. The space will allow us to make, bottle, and store all of our wines in one place, saving our staff time and energy.”

The new location includes two buildings, a 3,400-sq. foot space that will be used for the tasting room, and a 4,600-sq. foot area for storage and wine making. Eventually, the space could even be used for custom crush.

WIT first opened in 2016, producing about 1,250 cases annually. Today they produce upwards of 7,500 cases and boast more than 700 wine club members.

Gamache Vintners owners, Bob and Cris Gamache, along with Roger and Paula Gamache, plan to retire the winery’s brand following completion of the sale. “We want to thank the community for supporting us these last 18 years,” said Bob and Cris Gamache. Gamache Vintners will sell off its remaining bottles this summer, at 20% off while supplies last.

WIT Cellars will continue to operate out of its current Prosser location, 2880 Lee Road, Ste. A, until the official move date, which will be in the next two months. WIT Cellars is committed to artfully crafting outstanding wines, which represent the elegance of each region, and the talents of each wine grower.
